Introduction To Car Connector Production Steps II
Nov 30, 2022| 3. Injection molding.
Plastic box holders for automobile connectors are manufactured at the injection molding stage. The usual process involves injecting molten plastic into a metal film, which is then quickly cooled to form. A so-called "leak" occurs when the molten plastic fails to completely fill the film. This is a typical defect to be detected during the injection molding phase. Other defects include filling or partial clogging of tanks (these tanks must be kept clean and fit properly with the pin during final assembly). Since the backlight can easily identify the missing box seat and the blockage of the socket, the machine vision system for quality inspection after injection molding is relatively simple and easy to implement.
4. Assemblies.
The final stage in the manufacturing of automobile connectors is the finished product assembly. There are two ways to attach the electroplating needle to the injection box holder: single fit or combination fit. Single connection means inserting one dowel at a time. Combination fit is to connect multiple pins to the box base at the same time. Regardless of the connection method, the manufacturer requires that all pins be detected for missing and positioned correctly during the assembly stage. Another type of routine inspection task is related to measuring the clearance on the connector mating surface.
As with the stamping phase, the assembly of the connectors also poses a challenge to the inspection speed of the automatic inspection system. While most assembly lines run at a rate of one to two pieces per second, vision systems typically complete multiple different checks for each connector passing through the camera. Therefore, detection speed is once again an important indicator of system performance.
This is the connector production process. Although there are hundreds of thousands of connector models, connector production generally follows such steps. Although we are not professional connector assembly line production workers, but understand the connector production process is still very necessary.
